In the past I have been a strong advocate for using the delete key liberally
rather than contributing to the noise. But the signal to noise ratio
recently has gotten out of hand. I would be happy to set filters to weed out
threads that I have no interest in (and have done so) but its a moving
target. The saddest part in all of this is that we currently have threads on
this list as follows:

"Stupid?" evidently is considered on topic as it does not carry OT: in the
subject.

"Programming languages" carries an OT: tag. So does "New version of QCTERM"
which seems pretty darn on topic to me. How backwards is that?
