In answer to the second part of your question, there once was a product
called Protos that was a 4GL that generated COBOL source. I don't know if
it's still around. The vendor was Cole & Van Sickle once upon a time, but I
think that name has changed.

Subject: Animator for COBOL

Does anyone know of a product for the COBOL compiler on HP
3000 that allows on-line interactive
debugging? I have a compiler on my PC (MicroFocus COBOL)
that has this feature and it really
helps for development and debugging. The only problem is
that I can't use it for programs that
access IMAGE databases.

Also, does anyone know of a product for the HP 3000 that
generates COBOL code?
