Hi all,

I am part of a project to use Samba to provide files to a PC so that a
VB5 program can convert the data in the files to labels with barcodes. I
have been having problems reading the files in VB5. The files are in
comma separated format and I have used the "tobyte" function to convert
them to bytestream files but still the VB program seems to pick up some
weird characters (CRs?). Has anyone else used VB5 programs to read files
through Samba with success? If so, what's the secret?

TIA,

Cheers,
John Dunlop
