Yes, the 928 does include an external SE SCSI port - located on the MFIO
card that also includes your console port - among others.
If you disconnect the internal tape drive, you can use the same address for
the external one that you attach to the external SE SCSI port (address 0).
Or, if you do not wish to disconnect the internal tape drive, simply use an
unused address for the external - such as 4 or 3 or 2 or 1.
I do recommend, however, that you disconnect the internal tape drive from
both its power connector and its scsi connector.
