OK...several of you have given me the proper advice.  Many thanks there.

Now I need one more thing. HPMONTH is now set to '9'.  I need '09'.  Yes I
can input the leading '0' but would have to change it next month.  I bet
HPDATE works the same way.

Is there a quick way to strip it out of HPYYYYMMDD ?
