Unfortunately, sometimes e-mail is too easy to send - it requires little or
no thought.
This happened to me the other day when I dashed off an e-mail about Winston
Prather and his current position within HPQ. I was having a particularly bad
day (no excuse) and happened across some information about him. I sent it
off to HP3000-L with some offhand comments, unfortunately without thinking
first. I did not intend to insult him, but it was perceived that way, so I
regret having sent the e-mail. I did not intend, nor do I mean, to impugn
his motives.
This has been a difficult two years for all of us, not just me. Sometimes I
forget. I apologize for offending Winston. BTW, I offered to buy him a drink
too, but it turns out he will not be at HPWorld, else he would have
accepted.

P.S. I still stand by everything I've said about HPWorld 2003, both positive
and negative.
