The San Francisco Chronicle has an interesting article on computing-related
technologies being worked on for the future, as revealed by a recent
gathering at IBM's Almaden Research Center.

Unfortunately, the URL for the article is AWFUL, so I've provided two
below: one for the page with a link that's likely good for today (Friday)
only, and the "real" one as well (which may not survive the line break, but
which should survive the day).

< http://www.sfgate.com/ > (click on "The Gizmo Future")

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/1998/07/1

Be sure to click on the small pictures in the beginning of the article.
The first one shows a pair of eyeglasses with a "screen" embedded in the
lens.
