Oops, I should have looked before I leaped. If you run DTCCNTRL option 3 it
will configure nailed ports, which isn't what you want. If you read the help
for DTCCNTRL (and if I had!!!) you will see that you need to invoke the
automatic configuration feature from within NMMGR,
