Although Client-Server is *not* dead - it is taking a different turn toward
the web and other internet-enabled technologies, not just a WinApp and ODBC.
As for thin clients <plug> check out our bundle on or website at
http://www.csillc.com.  People still visit and log onto our system here
using Javelin - a Java-based emulator! </plug>
