And that company also has sole authority to approve new devices and 
medications, license doctors and hospitals, etc.  There are lots of 
conflicts.  Not to say some form of govt health ins won't work, but it's 
fraught with potential for bribery, kickbacks, and all the other wonderful 
things that large amounts of money and politicians attract.  And the 
thought of the bureaucracy makes me cringe...
