I've used RoadRunner in the past and Orbit at my
current place.

There is not a great deal of difference with products.
Road-Runner has a Rollback facility on the on-line
store and BUP is roll-forward.

With BUP you can control when you require to sync.
your backups which can be useful when you are running
ad-hoc stores.

BUP can be a bit slow if you are doing little stores
and restores, but it can handles large sums of data
well.

We use DLT 40 drives to back our data up.

Our typical backup to disc is

11000576 sectors, 2.62 gigabyte

This takes about 75 mins.

The support from Orbit on the product is excellent in
the UK.

We are also a MACS(Ecometry) user.

Regards

Steve
