I would use the create option like this ";CREATE". That way all of the
methods are covered. Now this will only create the accounting structure
that is required for you files. A second step would be to use
BULDACCT.PUB.SYS to create a job to build the actual accounting structure of
your production account. Just edit the BULDJOB1 and BULDJOB2 files to
contain your testing account name.
Do the BUILDACCT step first, and then do the restore. Makes for a faster
restore that way.
And there you have it, instant test account.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Restore to dup account..
I want to create a test account. I have a full backup from last night
in the machine.
I want to create a new account, which is a snapshot of the tape...
so I'm thinking...
:file T:dev=tape
restore *T;@[log in to unmask];account=test;create=group,creator, path;show
Is that how you use the create option? create=group, creator, path? or
do I need create=group;create=creator;create=path?
Will this also dupe users? If there is a joe.MS user will there now be
a joe.test user?
If i'm going about this wrong what's the quickest way to make a test
account with all the same users, and files at my user account?
Any help would be much appricated,
Thanks,
