I am not a hardware technician, but here is what I know.

The CBFx ones indicate a HPMC (High Priority Machine Check)
The 5xx8 ones indicate Processor Memory Bus Fault <--- Start here
The 5002 one is Assertion of Path Fault Detected.

I would start by pulling out memory.

Subject: [HP3000-L] FLT DEAD Codes

On a 969/400, I'd be curious about the following fault codes. (DEAD is in
there somewhere.)

FLT: CBF1 CBFC CBF0 CBFA 5208 5408 5508 CBF5 5108 5002
