At the risk of starting a MOVER MUST GO thread, why can't all HP3000
software be distributed as STORE files?
Or does restore from a disk "store" file only work for certain levels of
TurboStore?

As I understand it, vanilla TurboStore allows de-compression, and faithfully
restores the MPE files exactly as they were stored from either a tape of
disk file, but you need TurboSTORE/iX 7x24 True-Online to create these (or
TAPECOPY from Lars Appel and Keven Miller.

Regard

Neil

Patches use MOVER with an EOF of 635 (shown as MOVERA02 in Andrea's message
above). Perform a :LISTF MOVER.PRVXL.TELESUP, check the EOF. If it's not
635,
then download the correct version for patches from (I believe)
jazz.external.hp.com. You may also (as Andreas did above, and as we did
here)
to save it under a different name. We use MOVER635.PRVXL.TELESUP. When it
comes time to use it, update the script to use the appropriate version of
MOVER, or copy/rename current and 635 versions of MOVER.

Joe Geiser
