At 7:53 PM -0500 3/10/03, Wayne R. Boyer brought up a
vital point:

DBMS issues, for instance?
Not "surface" issues, but "really deep" issues (such as
scaling for thousands of concurrent users, baby-sitting
the DBMS beasts and/or keeping them in a constant life-support
incubator-like state -- which requires full "expert guru"
attention, every second, to steer clear of all kinds of
calamities). And other profound sequels that are
generally absent from the usual sales pitches.
Caveat emptor.
