Hmmmm.....just like all good, eventually irrelevant server threads, this
one JUST WON'T DIE......

John's claim that 'This list is not some exclusive club for HP3000
veterans' is true.  That wasn't ever the issue.  What seemingly started
this was the viability of vendors using this (free) forum beyond it's
designated purpose.  There are lots of places to learn all about
bleeding edge vendor developments, this being just 1 of them.

Agreed.
I thought it followed the agreed rules.
I found it short and to the point. Not offensive or
intrusive.
I find it useful to have new developments anounced
here. Part of the information exchange that we need.

I would complain if it was a disguised advertisment.
This list is not some exclusive club for HP3000
veterans.
Just my 0.5 cents worth.
