We are trying to squeeze every bit of performance out of our 2 e3000/N4000-
400-50 servers with 8 gigs of memory so we don't have to upgrade. A couple
of options we are considering is to enable DSEM and PREFETCH on all of our
Image databases. We don't want to do this if it might cause a problem. We
have also seen warnings like don't turn these on unless you have excess
CPU and memory - which we don't have. Does anyone have experience with
these image settings? Do you have them enabled at your site? Would you
recommend we turn them on? What would the upsides and downsides be?
Thanks,
Aaron Bogue
