I have been asked to evaluate our current method for tracking backup tapes.
I am currently using a custom written File Maker Pro database as our "Tape
Library" to create labels, store information about the backup tapes and
track the movement of them between the 2 locations (On Site - Off Site).

This database has seemed to serve us well over the years, but there is a lot
of manual effort involved to maintain it. I was curious as to what
applications/methods other HP3000 shops were using to track their backup
tapes. Any insight to what some of you may be doing would be appreciated.

If I can improve what I'm currently doing, I'd like to!
