Just ask them what the cost to the business would be if what's stored
on the 150GB of data was lost!  Maybe you can thus convince them to
buy a second 12H and use MIrror/iX to mirror between both of them.

Remember, mirrors aren't 100% insurance either.  We just lost
4x8GB of space that was fully mirrored (yes, 8x8GB of raw disk) when
the array (a Nike model 30 on a hp 9000) decided neither of the
redundant controllers "owned" the disks.  We restored from the
last tape backup, but we still lost most of a day's data entry.

It's not just disk failures that cause disasters!
