I've already tried that even listf,3. But then there is no accessor for
that file.

I'll stick with my prior answer.  You may want to do a listf,8 on the
file
and see who has it opened.

Sorry... That must have been "9]" and not "9" only.
This is a Cobol program.
This doesn't happen before but then when I tried this today, the issue
happens.

This is a snapshot of what I'm having:
...
...
Error opening CONFIG-FILE status is 9]
...
...

That file is important in the program so it is coded in the way that
when error in opening that file is encountered, program should "stop
run".
That's why I really need to know why all of a sudden I'm encountering
this now. Could this be a "corrupt file" issue?

We need a little more info.  Is this coming from a program?  What
language
is it in?  A file system error 9 is an error in FOPEN specifying an
invalid
file type in the FOPTIONS.

Need more info.
