I would look at the ACD's of the file. There should be a section on
"group". This is the area to Iook at. You may have to change the ACD,
or delete it all together.

Later :-)

Subject: Need Help with MPEX Problem

I am completely baffled. I am having a privilege problem when
trying to do
a simple copy in MPEX. The same copy does work in MPE. Here is
the version
        that works:

        :PURGE FOOBAR
        :BUILD FOOBAR
        :COPY FOOBAR,FOOBAR2
        :PURGE FOOBAR2

When I attempt to do the copy in MPEX:

        :MPEX

<< Snipped header and hints, but version is: 27N80324 >>

        %COPY FOOBAR,FOOBAR
        -----Copying FOOBAR.PUB.ACCT              ==> FOOBAR2
User lacks appropriate privilege to modify the group id of this
file. (CIERR
        825)

The only thing special is that the PUB group is on a user volume
set.

The VESOFT technical help simply stated that MPEX enforces posix
security
        while MPE does not.
