Greetings,
I'm puzzled by something that is happening at 'attach' time in Image/SQL.
I have a database called 'GL' (12 datasets) which is being attached
to an Allbase DBE. As expected, Image/SQL creates a group in Allbase
called 'GL_64'. Also as expected, each of the 12 datasets is defined
(mapped?) as a table (system.table) in Allbase. So far, so good.
Now the problem: when I look at 'system.tabauth' to see what 'tables'
have been assigned to the group 'GL_64' I only see two tables (datasets)
assigned to this group. Why are only two tables assigned to this group
and why not twelve? Or for that matter, since the user doing the 'attach'
needs DBA in the Allbase/DBE, why are there ANY tables assigned to
this group?
BTW, other attached databases show the same type of symptoms: for
example,10 datasets but only one is mapped to system.tabauth, or 31
datasets total, but only 27 are assigned to system.tabauth; some
attached databases have no assignments in system.tabauth.
I'm sure I'm missing something here, but not sure what. Any answers,
hypotheses, wild guesses?
version info: Image/SQL (B.G0.05), Allbase (A.G0.30)
