The memory IS the same.  Possibilites:  1) Did you skip any slots when
installing the additional memory?  I don't recall if empty slots between
modules are allowed (suspect not). 2) Did you install the additional memory
in identical pairs?  They come in identical sets of 2 boards or 3) I suspect
(but am NOT sure) that the largest sets of memory must be installed FIRST -
there's a good chance that I'm wrong on this though.  4) "loose" connections
- these things are or should be very tightly mounted in the carrier board
connectors.  5) static damage???  Hope not.

Try returning the memory to the 927 - still works? Try a swap of carrier
boards. Boards should have identical part #s.

PS: so what's going to happen to that poor stripped 927????  Is it going to
be an orphan looking for a new home?  I'm going to be acquiring more 9x7s as
they get phased out of use by companies.  Let me know.
