Perhaps because Mr. Powell, whom I respect (a rarity in the current
administration), is making campaign promises to people who cannot re-elect
Mr. Bush.  <GRIN>

I whole heartedly agree that trade a good thing, however, we are not
benefiting from the trade over all. At present, capital (and jobs) are
flowing OUT of the United States, with only a benefit for the top level.

This is absolutely true and a good and fair response to another country that
is benefitting from us.  I don't understand the politicizing of it?
