I actually have fond memories of RPG on the HP3K. Way back in 1986, I had
never seen an HP3K, but I already knew RPGII. The consulting firm I worked
for had a client who was installing a sales order management system on the
HP3K. The new system had to interface to one of their subsidiaries who was
running their sales system (written in RPGII) on the HP3K. My knowledge
of RPG was my passport into the fascinating world of HP. Of course, I've
never used RPG since!
