Balderdash.  A newspaper that would hire an accused drunk like Maureen
Dowd could not possibly be seriously called the paper of record.

But if you notice I said that FOXNEWS reported the complete text of the
speech, "without comment or editorial."  The NYT will have plenty of
comment and editorial about the speech.

One of the reason I like Foxnews is that they give the straight news
without the snooty attitude of a Peter Jennings or a Tom Brokaw.  And
certainly without the drunken divagations of a Maureen Dowd.

Nonsense. The NY Times is called the "paper of record" precisely because
it
has published the complete text of every presidential address for more
than 110
years now.
