We've received this news from CSL, of an anouncement 8 hours before it was
made.
Time zones are strange things, yes, though perhaps not as strange, and
momentous, as this news.

discontinuance notices issued for December 2006

A very strange thing happened on Wednesday, November 14th. At 11:00 am
Pacific Time, hewlett-packard announced that they had decided to discontinue
sales and support of the hp e3000 platform. Winston Prather, General
Manager, hp e3000 Business, made the announcement with Jim Murphy, General
Manager, hp Server Support at his side."
