Tally up all the associated expenses for running one machine versus the
other, include maintenance for all devices and software, salaries for all
directly involved personnel (SYSOPS, DBAs, not users), power consumption
for all associated equipment, and costs for expendables.  Plus the
catch-all "anything else you can think of."

Philosophical questions as to the technology, manufacturer, and favorite
applications avoid, they are superfluous, unless the technology offers a
cost/benefit ratio.  Company officers prefer the effect on the bottom
line.  Many have been around long enough to be nonplussed by such drivel.
