Several of our LaserJets have 2 LDEV entries on the same IP Address. The
first entry uses a setup file that puts the printer in A4 Landscape mode,
another one puts it in A4 Portrait mode. This has worked OK for over a year
now.

You only need to use the TCP_port_number entry IF you are using a JetDirect
EX box with more than 1 printer attached.

Like other respondents, I suggest that NPCONFIG be kept as an unnumbered
file with a maximum record length of 80. In addition, the Native Mode
Spooler Reference Manual says that there should be only one entry per
line. I'm not sure if this is an absolute requirement, but it certainly
makes the file more readable.

I think there is also a distinct configuration problem because I see a lot
of duplicate IP addresses but no 'TCP_port_number' entries.
