Unfortunately, this is true. They are actually separate products. They
both have to be listed to ensure they will both appear on any
software update tapes (or CD codeword documents) that you
receive.

You still own the license for the software even though you dropped
the support (an official license document was shipped with the
original purchase ). You will find that the newest version of the
software appears on all LaserRom CD's in the '\PCINSTAL" directory.
You can legally use the upgrade with your original license. Also,
the need to purchase multiple licenses if you wanted multiple access
to the CD (like mounting it on a server) has been recently
eliminated due to customer demand.
