I wonder if anyone can remember this monster? My company is going to
dump a series 42 computer, and I get to take it home. Anyone know if
I am doing the right thing? It will take up most of my den. It has the
CPU, a 7935 disk (runs like a washing machine), another disk cabinet
with an 'I forgot what kind of disk is in it'. Also, of course, the
old reel to reel tape drive.

I have been working with HP systems for about 12 years, now. I remember
that the 42 was obsolete over 10 years ago. However, if I can use it
constructively, I would rather not see this old workhorse die.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. If necessary, i could
always sell it for spare parts to a company that might still be running
one.

Thanks,

Bob Tyler
