Hello All,
RE: NSLOOKUP not using proper DNS
Mine sure does... I have 1 primary and 3 backup name servers configured in
RESLVCNF.net.sys.
I performed a lookup on an existing as well as a non-existing node name and
got the response that the name server address was the first (primary) in my
list of "nameserver" entries in RESLVCNF.
I then modified RESLVCNF.net.sys and placed a "#" commenting out my first
(primary) "nameserver" entry and re-ran the test.
The result is the now new top of the list "nameserver" entry in RESLVCNF was
used.
Note: The copy of RESLVCNF that you should be using is
NSLOOKUP.PUBXL.TELESUP which executes /BIND/PUB/bin/nslookup.
