To my knowledge, the 128 field limit exists in all versions of MPE/iX and
nothing is planned to change that.  I'd like to nominate it as a enhancement
that HP should address with a higher priority than anything else VPLUS
related.

The dumb work-around is to combine multiple fields into a single field and
break things apart in your software code.
