Jeff,

I think the C440 means the system has finish HW checks and is ready to boot.
You probably just needed to type CTL-B then CO and you should get your boot
prompt. Given what happened you probably had a console communication issue.
Did you try a hard reset in reflections? Are you sure you had the correct
COM port, etc. Now that it is working try hooking the PC back up and see if
you can find the problem.

Josh

Subject: [HP3000-L] Boot issues on 947

To all;
Anyone ever run into this??? Booting up your HP 3000 947 on an RS
bootup stopped on C440 and wouldn't continue. The system was connected
via a console cable to a PC running Reflections. We connected a
Laptop running Reflections directly to the system and it still
stopped on C440 and
just set there. Then we put a dumb terminal on it and it worked!
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Jeff
