Well, presumably the members of this list are well-educated people, but the
postings to this list are replete with spelling, grammar and usage errors.
Although I hold an advanced degree and consider myself knowledgeable in
matters of English usage, I sometimes post messages with errors, primarily
due to my limited typing skills.  Ms. Selfridge-Field's letter was eloquent,
and very appropriate considering the disgustingly personal attacks from the
pro-merger faction.
