Dave,

I doubt that you are missing anything in the zip command. The zip
program, coming from the Posix world, will most probably not "see"
the MPE specific CCTL info through the Posix API. The file system
will most probably use bytestream emulation to give zip an illusion
of what it knows (a file being a flat sequence of bytes with lines
delimited by LF characters). CCTL being a special "add-on" to each
record is probably not passed on to zip.

You might need to FCOPY the spoolfiles to flat FA or VA files before
using zip for packaging. I seem to recall that there is a combination
of ;CCTL options with FCOPY and FILE that lets FCOPY place the CCTL
info into the first byte of each record. This is something where zip
might be able to pick it up successfully.

However, is the non-MPE target platform ready to deal with the CCTL?

Lars.
