Does anyone have anything to add? Does anyone have any old quotes from HP 3000 for remarketed computers?

I just got this private reply:

"the problem is HP never had a solid price. From 89 through 98 I worked for a
VAR and sold lots of HP3000 boxes. Remanufactured HP equipment could go for
60% to 80% of new. The real problem is you had to call to get pricing. To my
knowledge HP never published these prices. The remanufactured equipment was
typically boxes that were at the end of lease and therefore they were
subject to availability.

I had plenty of new price lists, you usually had to call if you wanted to
sell refurbished/pre-owned. Probably because HP didn't want too many of
these opportunities to conflict with the sale of a new box."
