It does that - it's showing as zoned.
Try looking at the record with R ALL,-
Then you should see that your 0 is in fact intact.

What we call 'adding a detail record' in Image parlance. Yes, you can -
nothing should be stopping you.
However, if you have three columns ('fields' in Image parlance) which
are keys, then these will key off three separate master datasets - i.e.
it's a row for all three masters.
It then depends if these are Automatic or Manual masters.
If any of them are Manual masters, then the master entry for the key
field value must exist before a detail using that value in the key field
can be added.
But if they are Automatic masters, then the key value will be
automatically created when you add the detail record.

A master is a master - just display the master record to the customer.
As it has more than just the key value, it's obviously a manual master,
so it has data you can show the customer.
If there is a program which, for some reason, deletes one or more detail
records when the master is updated in some way, then that's how it is.
Showing the detail record(s) for that manual master is a separate step.
But I have to confess that I don't quite understand what you are saying
here, despite 8 months on IPI for TCS.
If I haven't covered it, can you please describe this better?
