We have a printing problem, and the answer seems to have eluded even
me...:)
Our users run Multiview on our shadow CPU. Their reports are copied to
the Master CPU using NBSpool/NetBase. SpoolMate then alters the report
to print on a LaserJet in landscape mode. It's a rather complicated
setup, but I think I understand it pretty well (I didn't set it up).
However, since Monday, the users' jobs have bombed with various QUIZ
errors - mainly:
*E* A back-referenced file equation does not exist. (FILE OPEN ERROR
-433) (QUIZLIST)
the program bombs when using this f/e:
:FILE QUIZLIST=GL1400JS;DEV=SYSLZ
but works ok with this f/e:
:FILE QUIZLIST=GL1400JS;DEV=LP
any ideas of what to check?
I've tried doing the above file equations manually at a MPE prompt,
getting a INVALID FILE REFERENCE (FSERR 54) for SYSLZ.
all this was working fine last friday.
I briefly checked SYSGEN, and it looked ok. I'm guessing the problem
is at the MPE level. [SYSLZ = Dev 6]
TIA. We're using MPE/iX 5.5
