I think you over reacting.   Would you rather have MPE fall apart
by too thin of a approach to migration to the IA-64 processors? OR
have CSY just stick it's head in the sand and let MPE slowly die as
the ISVs leave and the customers leave?  Sales above expectations are
great, but they don't mean a 10 fold increase in installed base. HP/CSY
didn't want to be fooling us, which it what they were coming close to
doing.  CSY just recognized reality on our behalf, and I respect them
and HP more for it, not less.  They gave us time to move our businesses
off of MPE at a healthy and fruitful pace and that means a great deal.
