I wish to add to Terry O'Brien's statement that (highly paraphrased) there
is much to be gained by full Omnidex on Eloquence:

Every Speedware/HP3000 shop I have worked with relies much more heavily on
Omnidex keys and features other than the b-tree aka IMSAM type features
implemented on Eloquence. Adding full Omnidex support to Eloquence, and
Eloquence/Omnidex support to Speedware, would drastically reduce the cost
and timeline for migrating Speedware/Image/Omnidex applications off of the
HP3000. In some cases, it would mean the difference between simply
migrating the Speedware application, and replacing it entirely.
