Question on companies that once were active in tools, but are no longer.

Not sure what is meant by "active".. I was once employed by
Technalysis Corporation of Edina MN. I developed a program that
would allow "query like" updates of a database. Only improvement,
was that I allowed fields to be computed, and this either used to
select records or update the database (for example an Accounts
Receiveable record with a original balance, amount paid and total due,
if somehow due to program error, the amount due no longer matched the
original balance minus the payment amount, query couldn't find these
records nor could it update them). The application was fill in the
blanks of a compute and then a COBOL program was generated that could
do the updates (and recognize key field updates).

Anyway this was combined with an earlier Technalysis product that
generated test data, and the resulting product was called IMAGINE.

We sold about six discounted copies.

Technalysis continued for several more years in application sales,
but no further "tool" developement was attempted.

Technalysis no longer exists, having been bought out by Compuware.

My opinions are those of "my" employer !!!

You "Betcha" you're from Minnesota when....

You own only three spices - Salt, Pepper and Ketchup
You have more miles on your snow blower than your car
You design Halloween costumes to fit over snowmobile suits
You feel warm and toasty at -12(F)
You find -40(F) only a mite chilly
Your husband thinks sexy lingerie is a flannel nightgown with
  only eight buttons
