David,

I've got an SMTP program on my 3000 that I picked up on a web site somw
somewhere. It's called jtmail, written by Vanguard Computer Services Pty
Ltd in Australia. It's free under the terms of the GNU GPL. I've played
with it a bit and used it to send messages to an SMTP servers I have on my
network. It seems to have a problem reading messages from $STDIN, but I've
been able to use flat files as the message contents. I haven't figured out
how to format a message to include an attachment, which I would like to do.
Check out www.3k.com, Robelle's site, and Allegro's and Telamon's. I think
it'll be on one of those.
