Well, Jeff, until IPROF-95 you would have been completely correct with
respect to no VPLUS enhancements.  But HP has now commited to delivering
some user-requested improvements to this grey-haired-but-still-widely-used
product.  If I took notes correctly, the following are in Beta:
 
1.  Allow copying of processing specs in FORMSPEC.
2.  Provide cursor position sensing with VREADFIELDS.
3.  Determine cursor position by screen row# / column #.
 
A fourth item is "In process":
Implement century DATE type in VPLUS (MDYC).
