At one of my client, we are having some strange problems...
The HP is not frozen.
The console works fine.
You can log into any house
You can run any program
Only the network is down
All vtmgr connections get lost , so if you were in a program , it doesn’t abort you but if you tried to do a function in that program, it just sits there , nothing happens
When you try to open that program again you get connection failure - via VT-MGR
It acts just like your unplugged the network cable but the console is not frozen, NSCONTROL says its running , NetCONTROL says its running
Yet you can not access HP via the network , as if the cable was unplugged.
You do a cool start and its back up and running
If it was a nic card, cool start shouldn’t fix the problem
If it was the OS, then it would be happening all the time
Simply the network refuses connections , just like when there is an IP conflict
Any ideas and/or directions will be appreciated as always....
Here is the JINETD log , right at 6pm yesterday , all these devices try to ping HP
Ive asked and asked for them to search and Karl says he is researching this and asked for the list again
