I confirmed that the 7.0 Communicator says "no support for 9x7 systems".

Of course, for 20+ years at that time, we all knew that HP's "no support"
meant "it'll probably run, but we won't support it", so it was a bit
disingenuous of them not to say "we made sure it won't run".
