AUTO LF must be turned off. The following paragraph describes how to verify
that the AUTO LF is off.

Press the "User System" key in the middle of the top row, of the console's
keyboard. The display will show eight square areas along the bottom of the
screen, which represent the eight function keys (F1 through F8). The "F4"
key should display the word "MODES". Press the "F4" key. The display will
change so that "F8" will display the words "AUTO LF". There should be no
asterisk (*) in the box with the words "AUTO LF". The meaning of the
asterisk is as follows: "off" is no asterisk showing, "on" is an asterisk
showing. Pressing the
"F8" key will toggle the asterisk on and off. So, if an asterisk is showing,
then press the "F8" key so it will not show.
