I plan on coming in at some point on 1/1/2000, for the following reasons:

1. Make sure the building security access cards still work. If not, I can report it to the building manager early. (Assuming one of my phones works)
2. Check on the HP 3000, run a few programs, make sure the basic programs we use function more or less as expected. If not, I've got an extra couple of days to work things out.
3. Manually set the date on a few PCs that have older BIOSes that do not support progression to 1/1/2000, but correctly report the date when manually set.

This, of course, is all moot if the world comes crashing to an apocalyptic halt as some have predicted.

I'm curious as to how many people actually plan on being in on 1/1/2000.
It is a Saturday, after all. Our offices will be probably be closed from
Christmas Eve until Monday 1/3/2000 for our normal holiday shutdown.
