Of course it does, just like Apple ][ == computer and HP3000 == computer.
Neither is the only possible kind of computer, but saying that either is not
a computer because there are other kinds of computers is incorrect.

Anyone who has been paying any attention at all knows that I am extremely
familiar with essentially all aspects of RAID.
My (apparently overly subtle) point was that talking about "mirroring" as a
separate concept from "RAID" displays a lack of understanding of the
technology. As stated, mirroring *is* RAID (specifically, RAID 1).
