As volunteer chair of a much smaller conference where a name
change was also discussed (IPROF), plus as an attendee at
eight out of nine of the last Interex now a.k.a. HP World
conferences, I gotta go with Denys on this one. You can make
an argument that changing the name of the yearly big conference
to HP World was justified, since I would think that is more
visible to the general computing public. Less so for the name
of the user group itself....

And, by the way, what difference did the conference name change
make? None that I could see.

Leave the name alone and go on to other more important items.
